Kit ("the App") is operated by Kylie Kretschmer ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google or Apple).

Profile Preferences

You provide dietary restrictions, cuisine preferences, household size, meal preferences, and nutrition goals to personalize your experience.

App Data

As you use Kit, we store data you create including pantry items, meal plans, shopping lists, recipes, and meal feedback. This data is essential to providing the App's core functionality.

Subscription Information

We collect payment-related identifiers to manage your subscription. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (via App Store), RevenueCat, or Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.

Device Information

We collect your device's push notification token to send you reminders and updates you've opted into. We also store your timezone to schedule notifications at appropriate times.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize the App's features (meal planning, shopping lists, pantry tracking)
• Generate AI-powered meal plans and recipe suggestions based on your preferences
• Process and manage your subscription
• Send push notifications you've opted into (meal reminders, prep task reminders, feedback prompts)
• Improve the App's functionality

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the App:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and server functions (supabase.com/privacy)
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered meal planning and recipe analysis (anthropic.com/privacy)
• Apple / RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Stripe — web payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Expo — push notification delivery (expo.dev/privacy)

Your recipe and meal plan data may be sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate meal plans, parse recipes, and provide suggestions. This data is used solely for processing your request and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not track your location
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not display ads

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level security policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data including your profile, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and pantry items. This action cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

Kit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
